Mitch Mouchabeck

Executive Director of Purchasing & Risk Management, YMCA of Metro Atlanta


Mitch is the Executive Director of Risk Management for the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. Mitch grew up as a child at the Jerusalem International YMCA and was offered the opportunity to come and attend Willamette University in Salem, OR. Upon graduation Mitch worked for a large electronics firm in Los Angeles for five years, but felt the urge to become more involved with the YMCA movement, and has been employed with YMCAs across the country for the past 37 years. Mitch is passionate on his solid grounding and experience in nonprofit business operations, continuity, risk mitigation, staff safety training, and actively inspires, motivates, and develops individuals’ at all organizational levels, to create and promote a positive reputation in the community for ultimate safety practices and a top notch risk management culture. The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is about to celebrate its 160th anniversary and is Atlanta’s oldest nonprofit association of volunteers, members and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body.
