Audrey Newton, is a partner at Johnson Lambert, responsible for the audit, tax and consulting services provided the firm’s diverse not-for-profit sector. She has an extensive background in public accounting, having served not-for-profit organizations since 1987. Her experience includes financial statement and compliance audits, tax return preparation and planning, and consulting on a variety of topics, including governance and board oversight, operational efficiency reviews, enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance for not-for-profit organizations and benefit plans. Before joining Johnson Lambert LLP, Audrey was employed with Ernst & Young focusing on serving not-for-profit organizations.
She is a frequent speaker on current event topics for both internal and external not-for-profit conferences and webinars. Audrey is also active in the accounting and not-for-profit communities where she has contributed to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Not-for-Profit Section certification program. She is a member of the AICPA, American Society of Association Executives, the Finance and Administration Roundtable and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
Audrey graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She enjoys cooking, a variety of outdoor sports and traveling.
